This is shot with my A700 and 70-400mmG lens at ISO1600.
What really made that possible is shooting it in RAW and the noise reduction and sharpening programs I used. (Well the camera and lens combo is not bad either).
This is on top of a short pine tree 4-5ft high, the same one where I have shot Redpolls and Crossbills.
Although the female is yellow
No matter how many I shoot, I will never get tired of them.
They are planted in the fall, grow during winter and in the spring they pop out of the ground (or in this case snow) and fly away...
