Skiing down to the saddle was great. The whole mountainside was untouched and just starting to feel the effects of the sun.
View of the Valle.
The drop from Cerro Grande to the saddle isn't as open as I thought it might be. The path in the sunlight might be good, but then, it's in the sun. Most of the north face is steep and thick.
Skiing into the saddle. It was a long slog down from here. No trail was broken until about a mile above the road. The upper half of the canyon is beautiful- looks like only ground fire went through. The lower half is burned and scoured. A little tough to negotiate.
