Jacob Wade, CSA. Jacob Wade was born 21 April 1843 in Floyd County VA. He was the son of Henry Wade and Elizabeth Cox. He served in the Confederate Army, was captured at the Battle of the Wilderness, and was a prisoner of war in Elmira NY. After his release he returned to Floyd County and married Martha A. Dowdy. He died 2 January 1936.
