Two pieces of double ply cardboard. Didn't have any matte or gator foam for this project, so cardboard will do.
Lovely lady ready for some butt stomping.
Take a second print and cup them up into your different parts.
Sara's getting special treatment. Going to be hell to cut out around the Witchblade and hair.
You need to make sure you have sharp blades. Cutting through double ply cardboard isn't easy.
Play with your dimensions before you tape them down, this way it doesn't look silly - like it does here.
Retiring to the Batcave (studio) to keep warm while I finish this. From start to here - just under 1hr 30min.
Finished piece. 20"w by 30"h with Sara standing out about 1" off the backdrop. Start to now - 4hrs. Going to print off a Witchblade and Top Cow logo tomorrow and hand draw a "151" on the bottom, add a caption on the cover artist, writer, etc and place them along the bottom. Well, maybe put the Witchblade logo along the top.
Close up on the distance Sara is off the background.
The scarf, hair, and Witchblade were hell to cut around.
Witchblade detail. I have some areas there I need to trim the cardboard back (around her hip).
