"Oh now since my run in with lymphoma, one of the first things that I notice about people is vein access, now you have a great vein there (hand) Yeah I know that all sounds rather creepy! but there's certain things that haunt you, being poked & prodded for 9 months. Although I was fitted out with a port. (to gain quick access to my blood) the emergency department wouldn't touch the thing and always insisted that they cannulate me. Vein access via my hands/elbows are severely hampered. So even a simple blood test is a major effort... :-/"
