First day: Started off quite nice weather.
Look - shadows and everything. This is at the Loch Garten Osprey Centre.
Yes, there are some clouds in the distance. But I'm sure they're fine.
2 baby ospreys
View at lunchtime. (Nethy Bridge)
Yes, clouds building up, but look, still shadows.
Hmm, was that a roll of thunder I heard?
This was about 100 yards before big splotches of rain started falling and we (mostly) scrambled to put our waterproofs on. I was glad I did.
Looks bright but we were just about to go through a torrential downpour.
View from Ryvoan Bothy.
This is what happens to a path when a lot of rain falls. It was about 2" deep all across the path. I love my SealSkinz socks - totally dry feet! (I was pushing my bike down here)
The green lochan
Day 2 - rained more consistently but less in total. There are some lovely old Scots Pines in the Rothiemurchus estate.
Excellent path at this point.
Putting our waterproofs on. (Loch an Eilean between the trees)
Loch an Eilean
Ford (there's a bridge too)
An Excellent Roof / shed shape.
Chickens! There were lots of birds on view at our cake stop
Red squirrel eating lunch while we ate cake at Inshriach Nursery
