Case and package contents
YAY! Case has some an ventilation grid on the top.
how the case will be shipped.
Tray for optical and hdd.
Front control from behind
Mounts for the motherboard.
Front control panel connectors
Built in PSU
Forgot my SSD on the first picture *doh*
First I mounted the BD drive. It needed some preasure to put it in the tray
To mount the BD drive, I had to remove the PSU. As I removed the screws for the PSU, some paint came of.
Second I mounted the SSD. Because I have an 2,5'' drive, I mounted it to the bottom.
Here comes the motherboard.
Here's the mainboard I'm about to mount. I did a mistake here. First you have to mount the cpu clip because it needs some nuts from underneath.
I removed the left grid from the case because there will come the graphic card. You have to break it of. The left is the replacement and will be fixed with 2 screws.
Here is my GPU. Like this its to high for the case. I removed the VGA cable from the grapic card and the front plate.
It will loke like this. With the GPU, there comes a replacment for low profile cases and with that it fits prefectly (see later pictures)
Connector cover comes with the motherboard
Here is the GPU with the low profile front.
CPU with the stock fan.
I used the Zalman CNPS 7000C-Cu cooler.
Package content of the Zalman
I did a stupid mistake here. For the Zalman, you need the black ring (clip) around the CPU. But to mount it, you have to fix it from beneth the motherboard. So I had to unscrew the MOBO, mount the clip and put the MOBO back on.
Mounted the Zalman
I put all the cables beneath the moterboard.
Here you see the be quiet! PSU. The mounted BD drive. The front panel cables (2 black cables, 1 grey, 1 yellow/white) how they come out under the MOBO and connect to the USB and HD Audio ports. The germany cable (Black red yellow) is a fan control for the Zalman (see later pictures). It comes from the Zalman, goes under the mainboard, comes out underneath the PSU and goes out of the case.
The Zalman cpu cooler. Normaly the fan goes directly to the fan connector on the mainboard. But the Zalman has a fan control which you see connected here.
Top view. See the yellow/white cable is the main power switch cable. The red/black cable is the infrared power switch. The main powerswitch cable connects to the IR power switch which goes then to the motherboard.
With the case comes an main power adapter. It adds an additional red/black 2 pin cable which connects to the front panel. It the energy source for the IR receiver I guess.
So, everything is mounted. First I forgot the 4 pin power cable. You see it above the Zalman cooler in this picture.
PC is running (yes, the fan is spinng ^^) and the BD tray is open. The button on the case fits nicly on the BD drive and the tray comes out smoothly.
My cable "managment" ^^
This is the fan control fo Zalman CPU cooler.
These are the the 6GB/s sata ports. Pritty tight here. I got them in without unmounting the MOBO, but it was a hazzle. These sata cables came with the mainboard.
The end product. The only missing thing is the fan. The cove here is only mounted with 2 screws. The others I will add when I mounted the missing fan.
My assistent ^^ I flashed my cat. Poor thing!
