Interesting standoff detail. Primarily identified with Renegade Kites - Pam Markie - Fremont, CA. But this is not a Renegade, so the idea must have spread.
Standoffs for the tail. Need a needs a little adjustment. Center spine has no nock - just a hole drilled in the spar and then broken off there - uses the half hole to hold the shock cord. Not pretty - but it words and is very lightweight.

The Great Atlantic Kite Co. - Cape May, NJ. The bag is full of end caps, swivels, arrow nocks, repair tape, and other small goodies.
Heavy duty padded wrist straps with handles by Kitty Hawk Kites. As I think about these they are not safe - the flyer really cannot let go of the kite with the tight wrist opening. And the handles are somewhat redundant.
2" tubing flying straps. Not sure how well the plastic buckles would hold up under real pressure.
Sky Claw handles and wound up kevlar line. Sure to make friends with this.
