4*16 Lcd, Polar reciver, 1337 rtc, mega644v, max3232, SD card. Dragon Programer.
First strip-board prototype. In two pieces which was a mistake.
the inter-board wiring had not been though though and I could not get it reliably into the case!!!
Mk 2 all on one board but a slightly biger enclosure had to be made as well.
thought went into wiring out the externals. note the nice heraders.
One hack on the back but fairly busy all around.
There are 7 chips all together.
super-cap keeps the rtc happy for a good hour.
2 * power suply, mega644v, max3232, rtc, polar, and barometer.
This much on the bread-board was geting un-relable.
test setup with 20 year old collage days bike which is not ridable now but the wheel spins.
Finished hardware in case.
4 buttons on lid.
lid velcroed on. wiring fairly neet with ribon and multi-core cabeling. Stray Jtag header visable.
Powered up. Socket bottom right is where the wheel and crank reed switched plug in.
velcro underneath keeps it secure to stem.
some tweaks. thermistor added to give tempretue but should be outside the case.
Mounting holes added they are uner the mega644
This is a new case the old one bounced off and got run over. Inerds all still worked though.
20*4 lcd now buttons moved. Can now be secured to stem by rubber bands as well as velcro.
New bottom 2 pin socket is for serial link to homemade bar light.
There is a nardic radio transponder added for controlling a helmet light. I have yet to get this going though.
Mark 2. smaller lighter better display.
attaches to top of stem.
Xmega128a with microSD and serial to usb on Chip45 board
Accelerometer, RTC, Presure sensor, Ant+, GPS, li-ion usb chargeing, rotary encoder.
2X 96*40 pixel graphical lcds with I2c interfaces. 2 buttons
All put together. cabeling for wheel and crank read switches and serial out to controll light.
Taped up and on the bike.
Still quite big but a lot better than the old one.
New rear red light controlled by the new computer
Oval optic on right angle alu bit just velcroes to frame.
Single XPG R5 optionaly mounted to the front.
Sizing of bax was partly determined to fit 18650 cell
2 big Fets, sence resistors added for 2 seperate light driver circutes.
4 fires comming out now new one for rear red led.
A fairly tight fit.
