Schneeberg taken shortly after starting from the Gschaiderhof. The clouds would come and go all day.
Getting higher up the mountain side.
Looking back down at the way I came (Fadensteig). In the meadow is the Sparbacherhutte.
Not sure why there was metal cable here as the exposure was not too bad.
In the clouds
Getting above the clouds here
I took an odd route to get more mileage. Here I am headed down the mountain. With the dynamic clouds the view changed every few minutes.
Into the abyss
Lots of flowers everywhere.
Heading back up now.
Turns out there were a lot of these animals on this mountain.
Nice summit views :-( I went to the summit twice and both times it clouded in. As soon as I headed down, it would clear. Oh well, good reason to go back.
Looking at Rax. I was over there a couple of weeks ago.
Movie on Schneeberg looking towards Rax
The trails were fairly technical making for slow running.
Cannot get enough of these views.
The trail going through some dense scrub pine forest.
Close up of a big canyon valley coming off Rex. I was impressed looking down it while on Rax.
This is the ridge (center of photo coming towards view) that I climbed up a few weeks ago.
A large herd
Movie of a large pack of animals.
Heading back to the summit and into the clouds.
Coming down off the summit
The summit of Scheeberg. The coulds started to break up just after I left.
The Dambock-Haus with Waxriegel Summit behind.
View from Waxriegel.
You can ride a cog train most of the way up the mountain
View down into Puchberg am Scheeberg
Impressive looking walls
I got in about 20 miles with just shy of 10,000 feet climbing. Details at: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/209663640
