Dan (did a modified crossing) and David did the Sandia Crossing. Basically running from South to North across the Sandia Mountain Range.

We started at the Arrow Trailhead and took the South Crest Trail.
The first several miles worked up to the crest on trails like this. Low angle and runnable for the most part.

We now started to get into aspen groves.
Some of the aspen are starting to change.
Looking at the North Sandia Peak. We would run over this and down north (photo left) off of it.

This grove of aspen on the way down was full on into fall colors. Sweet.
Working to the finish.
There is the finish. Unfortunately it is still over 3 miles to there.
I thought I was almost there, but it kept going on...
Finally the finish is in site. My GPS recorded 26.35 miles in 5:43. All in all it was a good run.
