Looking gloomy on my drive up from Salt Lake.
Start and Finish of the race.
People are showing up for checkin and the race briefing.
Jared, the race director, give the briefing. His statement that this is a difficult course would be an understatement.
Me at the finish area after runner the first ~33 miles of the course. Bad weather forced the cancellation of it mid way though.
I had a blast on the sections that I did run, even though the weather was not very good.
And the course was a little bit muddy.
The weather cleared the next day, so I set out to hike some of the course that I did not get to run before catching my flight back to New Mexico.
Some fresh snow on the peaks. The last section of course would have gone over this peak, Scout Mountain..
Typically trail marker.
Hiking up towards Scout Mountain.
The first section is very gental.
Here is the water station (ok, just kidding)
Bet it would have been cold and snowy up there on race day.
Little bit of fresh snow on the ground.
I stopped here and went back down.
