An early departure from camp allowed us to see these amazing sunrise photos.
The sun came up as we were hiking up towards Halfmoon pass on our way up Mount of the Holy Cross.
The sun was a welcome sight as the weather forecast made it seem like we would be hiking in rain. The day turned out to be awesome.
First view of Mount of the Holy Cross. We would climb the classic Holy Cross Couloir and descend the standard North Ridge Route.
Approaching the couloir along the Cross Creek drainage.
Sam with Mount of the Holy Cross in the background.
Bowl of Tears Lake. From here we would climb up to get into the couloir.
Sarah and Jason enjoy a quick snack break.
Hiking up towards the start of the snow climb.
Looking back down at Bowl of Tears Lake.

Working up the couloir.
Huge trough in the middle of the couloir.

We came up that?

Jason enjoying the nice day on top.
Heading back to the trailhead.
Awesome camp site near the trailhead. The tarp came in handy as we got some rain in the late afternoon.
