Estrellita rock formation. Estrellita (5.8) on the right side, Beat Around the Bush (5.7) left side on face on right side of formation, and Clean Sweep (5.10a) on the left side of the formation are the three routes that we did on this formation.
Hole-in-the-Wall Area formation. We climbed Miss Piggy (5.8) which goes up the area on the left side of the formation. The route goes to the large tree and then continues straight up to the top.
Mark seconding on Estrellita.
Cranking though the moves
Is this why this formation is called “Hole-in-the-Wall”?
It is a long mine shaft.
Second pitch of Miss Piggy. Note the large pine tree on the left side. This is the large tree seen in the middle of the formation.
Mark making good progress up Miss Piggy
Nearing the top
Looking up at Beat Around the Bush (5.7). Good climb with clean rock.
