Rescued King Pigeon Lorenzo (formerly named Lola) and his husband Fantail Luigi were adopted last week but volunteered as Pigeon Diplomats

Luigi & Lorenzo watched from their brand new travel cage
Mickaboo volunteer Melissa rescued an injured feral pigeon in Modesto and brought him to the event in Berkeley for help with transport to rescue
Olivia had the morning off while Valiant put on the pigeon pants and worked the crowds

Cheryl and Littie wowed people

Melody (on the right) loved meeting Littie
Littie is a wonderful Pigeon Diplomat
Melody was really moved to meet Littie
Alice meets Valiant
As always, the Solano Stroll was jam packed with people
Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue was there too
And helping crowds of people to learn about the plight of homeless parrots
Berkeley Animal Care Services shared their space with MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue
And Littie was very relaxed
"You still taking my picture?"
Cheryl & Littie hard at work educating folks about domestic pigeons and the need for adopters
MickaCoo adopter and volunteer Jill was there too and brought Shorty for his first-ever event
Jill & Shorty visiting with Littie & Cheryl
Jill also brought Opal
Shorty did great despite his lack of previous Pigeon Diplomacy experience
Jill with her "foster" Opal... (see Opal's story here- http://www.rescuereport.org/2012/06/opal-georgie-before-after.html)
Opal is much loved by Jill's step-daughter Nicole as well
Yes, this is "Bad Ass" Opal!
Sarah rescued two feral fledglings and is considering adopting from MickaCoo
She really loves the pigeons she rescued.
Shorty was happy to get the pigeon pants off and eager to go back to the aviary!
Solano Avenue business man Nick wanted to buy and set free the pigeons
I appreciate the impulse but, for domestic birds like these, completely lacking in survival skills, there is no "free".
Free = Death
They need homes to live.
Thank Goodness for MickaCoo!
Olivia went straight to her nest and (fake) eggs to relieve mate Walter when she got home.
And she said, "Enough! No more pictures!"
