This photo, which I snapped at The Old Mill (seen in Gone with the Wind), sums up my fall inspiration: red, gold, and green from the leaves, khaki, brown, and grey from the building, and sky blue, of course. (Not original, I know, but pretty none-the-less.)
Perfect red leaves viewed from a window at The Old Mill. If only I had my skirt completed in time to pose here. (Not possible of course, as this was taken just after purchasing the fabric. This spot is less than 10 minutes away from the store.)
My style inspiration for this garment: J.Crew's no.2 pencil skirt. (I may even have to find a fabric in this color, which matches the fountain at The Old Mill.)
Wearing the wale for 11l11l11, "The day which most resembles corduroy".
Unfortunately, this was after DST, so it was too dark by the time I got ready to go out. Please excuse the graininess!
Changing up the backdrop. Sunset in the field behind our property.
Action shot! Attempting to play with the dog while in a skirt and penny loafers.
My first side zipper. Unfortunately, the hips on the skirt are just a bit big which is causing it not to lay flat.
Testing the vent while CoCo informs me she wants to play the way all dogs do - Chest goes down, tail goes up!
Taking a break from playtime to cover the usual poses. Front view, hand on hip, check.
Loathed back view, check.
Side view, check.
And how I really wore it, shirt untucked, check.
Wearing my corduroy skirts with tights created a lot of static so, I made a quick half-slip using the same pattern.
