I apologize for my glaring complexion. I was determined to get a few photos before going out for the evening but it was wet outside and sunny inside!
The alterations we did made the hips sit well but, unfortunately, I was hestitant to take in the bodice for fear the lining would be even more evident.
We tried a few belting options to cover the show-through lining and make the dress a bit more casual. We decided this made my hips look wider but a thin belt could be a great accessory for this dress on someone less pear-shaped than myself.
After not liking the belt option, I stole a black sash from another dress. Here, it is wrapped around twice and tied in the back. DF preferred this look so this is how I wore the dress to dinner and the movies (with black patent ballet flats).
