Early morning sunlight reflects off the waters of Yellowstone Lake around the Fishing Cone Geyser formation in Yellowstone National Park.
To bring out all of the detail in the sky and the lake I combined three different exposures together using HDR Pro in Adobe Photoshop CS6 and then enhanced the 32-bit tif file using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.1. (See http://bit.ly/LTfO0n for a tutorial on this amazing new image enhancement capability.)
This unique geothermal area is one of the places that we will visit this fall in my September 2012 "Autumn in Yellowstone" digital field photography workshop with the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. Space is still available for more participants who would like to enjoy a fantastic week of non-stop landscape photography in the world's first National Park!
