Calcified terraces form natural sculptures at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. These pools and ledges form here as the super heated geo-thermal water seeps out the Earth's crust.
This fascinating geothermal area is one of the places that we will visit this September in my "Yellowstone in Autumn" dital field photography workshop for the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. Space is still available for digital photographers looking to spend an unforgetable week photographing some of the best places that Yellowstone has to offer!
