Driving into our neighborhood...everyone has their stuff out in the street.
Here is a pile of asphalt that was just peeled up off the road.
Single story dwellings just got everything ... these clothes are in process of getting cleaned...by hand, not machine.
What good is a phone line for when they aren't working? Perfect for drying clothes!

I had two bills sitting on the dash cuz I was going to pay them the day of the flood but the atm was down, so there they sat, waiting to be paid on saturday.

This is Celia, our helper. I took her home because she was getting sick. Also with her is her daughter Roselle.

We hired some of the boys from our youthgroup to clean up the rocks. You would have thought it was Christmas!
They made quick work of the mess!
This is Hilda. She was a big part of the clean-up. Hilda made sure she always had head protection on outside :) The other gals were Geraldine and Celia.

We pulled the pantry out from under these stairs, and you can see the wood uprise is missing also.

The mud is slowly going away...there are still lots of crevices with mud though. It will take a long time to wash it all away.
