Temples of Angkor (1 of 4), Angkor Wat
The national symbol of Cambodia (it's on the flag) and Khmer people, it is truly an amazing place and deserves it's unofficial title as the 8th Wonder of the World.
Built it the 12th century as Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu and then later converted to Buddhist.
This was my second visit (first in 2001) and while some things have changed (less access and lots more people) it retains its charm.
