Dream Painting 2006 "Mental Istitute" volunteer.
A day of "Dream Painting" shown here at Hasei-yama, a home for the mentally disabled in Japan. The some of the artists shown here have been institutionalized for most of their lives, the oldest one being in his 80`s. We found out that this was the first time that he has ever painted, see his dream is this album`s cover photo. We all had so much fun doing our creative play together painting our dreams, exploring our "creative adventures" together, you can see it in their paintings and on their faces. After all the paintings dried in the sun, I took their painted canvasses of abstract shapes and stretched and glued them onto a wire frame work simular to the original shape of the canvass and made a grouping of wind mobiles for their institution`s annual outdoor summer festival.
