Waiting for our ship to come in one Thursday. It was cold and windy and Jeremy forgot his windbreaker...but we wanted to watch the ships sail in!
This funny guy cycled(?) around the Inner Harbour while we were waiting for the ships. I think he thought he was a tall ship. Some water police finally told him to go off to the side once the ships came.
The first ship comes in...
The Nina, a full-sized replica of the ship Columbus sailed in. My favorite.
And they keep coming.
The US Coast Guard's Eagle. The dark blue shapes on the ropes are all people...crewmen of the ship. They sat up there and waved at us while they went by.
The Bounty--the biggest wooden ship. Only the Eagle was bigger.
The next day we were back to check out the activities, market, events, entertainment, and ships. This is the line for the Bounty, the most popular ship there. We waited about an hour and a half. Check out Jeremy looking bored at the end of the line.
Love ze markets...
Bangles, baubles, beads...etc.
Arrrr....a booth full of pirate-y stuff.
Jeremy and the Bounty
The Bounty's mast
Cannon on the Bounty
Man looking happy with a cannon.
These ships have a lot of...um...ropes.
The Wheel.
More ship...stuff.
Jeremy and the wheel.
Back of the Bounty.
Bye Jeremy!!! Don't forget to write!
Aboard the Bounty.
Last shot of the Bounty.
More tall ships at the pier.
The next ship we boarded. Absolutely no line. Guess it was only the Bounty.
Next ship.
The figureheads of the ships of old are usually scantily clad buxom women for good luck. This is a Christian ship though--can you tell?
The bell on the Pacific Swift.
View of the US Eagle from off the Pacific Swift. Note the figurehead is an eagle.
Rowboats on the Swift.
Pic of the two of uus.
Jeremy and the ship's anchor.

Back to the markets.
