The rather intimidating entrance...
But my motto is "No fear."
Fortunately, the first thing we find is this rather large Gallapagos turtle.
The Reptile show introduced us to some creepy crawlies...
A baby alligator
Jeremy LOVES reptiles...
A smaller turtle
Our second encounter with these fluffy looking cuddlies...
This keeper let us all get a chance to touch and pet these koalas.
Now do you know why I think koalas look like Yoda?
Landing
Your typical tropical downpour.
Happens suddenly and heavily. We were stranded at the center for a few minutes.
One of our favorite parts of our visit was interacting with these very tame kangaroos.
My hubby
Yup, he loved me...
Jeremy on the other hand was in deep conversation with another roo
Who was teaching him some very new hip dance moves.
I took this just a split second after Jeremy and the roo were nose to nose.
Kind of like they are here but literally touching noses.
The red roo comes to say hi
Does he look buff or what?
This is a sign that is more fitted for Florida than Australia. Gators here are imported from our old place of abode.
This bird isn't caged...the typical birds you see flying around in the yards here.
Flying foxes.
Cassowary
Dingoes
Echidna. There long tongues are pretty amazing.
I really don't think they needed to put that sign there.
Look at him smile...
Chameleons
Just to show you how big this python is.
