Low tide at the beach and we went wandering....normally these rocks are surrounded by water.
The beach stretched out for a long ways at low tide...
The rocks were full of starfish...
The rocks were covered with mussels...these left dropmarks on the sand that I thought was pretty...
Jeremy took this picture: Can you find the crab?
Like I said...an abundance of starfish...
Surrounded by mussels
This cracked us up, these starfish were so squished a couple of starfish had their legs sticking out of the pile...
Can you see the waterline? It's interesting to see the anemones shrunken when they're not in water and "bloom" when they're back underwater...
Jeremy taking a picture of a little fish
Gourmet breakfast at Cox Beach pre-surf: Whole wheat bread smothered in peanut butter and drizzled with honey, topped off with fresh mango (OK, I tried to make it sound gourmet haha)
My good-looking surfer dude
Going into the surf
Look at him go!!! I thought I took more pictures than this but unfortunately this is the only pic I took of him surfing...will take more action shots next time...
Back from the water...
And heading off again for more...
Meanwhile, as I was taking surfing pics, we got "crow'd"--Annie's term for being attacked by crows. They left a pile of mango peels strewn across the sand, our bread was poked by multiple beaks--what a mess.
Taking a short break from riding the waves...
I married such a hunk....
Beautiful beach
Here's Annie struggling to hold the surfboard...they don't make surfboard her size
I can only get my arm around the back narrow part of the board. Jeremy had to carry to board to the water for me...
