Catface Mountain, located in the heart of Clayoquot Sound. It is currently the site of exploratory drilling project by Selkirk Mining Co. Selkirk seeks to move forward with a huge open pit copper mine that would strip the mountain to its foundations.

Catface Mountain can be seen from most places throughout Clayoquot Sound. It is a sacred place to Ahousat First Nation people, yet the Ahousat government has given their blessing to the drilling program.
