Working the terraces
I had made some friends (in the shade) and we stopped on our way up the hill to visit a relative (her house is here).
My friend's village is situated on a narrow ridge with a single row of houses and terraces further down on the ridge.
Evidence of puja (prayer) has not been cleaned up.
Back to Ranighat Durbar
Cave in Pokara with some interesting crystallization. A waterfall flows into a subterranean river, here.
Evidence of liquefaction (I think, but let's not ask my seds prof!)
Peace Pagoda in Pokara
Steak comes flaming in Thamel, Kathmandu! I had to move the lamp to keep it from catching flame!
Road work
It is permissible to take pictures of cremations in Kathmandu. Death is viewed differently here than in Varanasi, where photographs bring very bad karma.
Candles in association with the cremation.
When I looked at this photo again, I did a double-take because it resembles the high-altitude porterage in the Khumbu.
Priests involved with the cremation.

God of revenge (I think). I haven't quite figured out why one worships this god in good taste...
