Along the waterfront at the Joe, Amanda and I stop for the requisite photo op near the steps
The Incredibly talented "Mr. Hockey", Gordie Howe. My Mom watched him play and I have seen film of him play, but we had the honor of meeting him on this special night at Hockeytown
Mr. Hockey, Hall of Famer, Gordie Howe. What more can I say? This night was special for me, TWICE!
The statues are quite interesting at the Joe. I like the 3D, stop motion effect
Another great Winger....Ted Lindsay
And of course, the great Alex Delvecchio has a statue here, too
The first time I stepped in here, back in April of 2008, this view took my breath away. It was Dominik Hasek's last regular season game, prior to his retirement on 4/6/08. We beat Chicago that day and it was my wife's, as well as my own first time at the Joe. WOW!
The Wings are an awesome Club. Just look at some of their banners!
And how about these???
Yep, Dad and Daughter at her first game together. What a blast!
The young lady with the golden throat. Karen Newman singing our National Anthem
The fight that brought my Daughter to her feet.....Franzen has his helmet off and was ready to do battle with someone, or anyone!
I've never seen Ozzy in goal. Ty had the pipes tonight and he did a spectacular job, stopping all but a couple of the Ducks' shots
Of course, the Wings' bench during a TV timeout. Note Larry Murphy, another hall of famer, between the benches, with his headset on
