Hawk Mountain Road, Eckville PA June 18th
Stein got the rope stuck twenty feet up a tree while trying to hang it from bears. This tree is way to small to climb. I thought it was going to break.

These things are HUGE and randomly everywhere.
Ours first week was nothing but rain and fog. Looked really cool!
This is a dirty place. They specialize in selling candy to kids until they are ready for the tobacco. Kuntz Candy and Tobacco. If you see by the door it is A.U. Kuntz...... Try and pronounce that one for yourself...
Hello there Hot Dog.

Traveling the world
This scary thing moved fast and I am sure was carnivorous. Constant vigilance.
I was close to this thing when I walked by and refused to go back to close. It was a 4-5 foot long rattlesnake. It was rattling and very intimidating.
MMMMMMM..... Nuttella in a bag is a very messy operation when you get to the bottom of the bag.
Gritty, helped do our first shakedown to weed out uneeded equipment.
Gromet. Travels with Gritty.

Love this picture.
These pictures are of hell breaking loose on Earth. This was a horrible storm right before it broke. Me and Stein we literally running for our lives as Satan threw liquid chaos at us. Lightning was licking at our heels and I am still not quite sure if we survived.

We thought this was the biggest oak on the trail, but no.
There are babies in there that it was feeding.
Largest Oak tree on the trail. Over 300 years old. Breathtaking.

This is a train car we stayed in. It was unlocked so we helped ourselves! A kid came to lock it at night and was very scared of us. He let us stay till morning and didnt call the cops which was a great thing.
I was sleeping in a little bunk at the top and could see out those windows at the top.
Ohh yeah.... Soooo good..... mmmmmm......
tired himself out
Pictures do not show how peaceful this place looks
Tallest peak in CT. Peak is the operative word because there is a higher spot in CT that is part way up a mountain which peaks in another state. This mountain has a very tricksy publicist.
Barbara gave us a ride into Great Barrington and said we could tent on her front lawn, but we never made it back. Her husbands name is Robin.
This storm hit us out of nowhere and was horrifying for a while.
Gene here is Hutch's Aunt. She let us stay with her for the night. Her son in the picture is Irving. Irving has an older brother named Brian. She was so nice. We really felt at home here.
James gave us a ride back to the trail after we helped him move a desk into his shed. Thanks!
This picture came out great, but it was even better in person.
This tree is the same one from your childhood nightmares. It will get you and it will eat the light of your soul as sustenance.
Cream, Thoms fat cat! You cant really tell how fat he is but beleive me, this table is huge!
Momma Thom and Sistah Thom

Longest hallway in existence. I walk all day and still did not think we would ever make it to the thearter.
Gotta get my roll in....
This is a really intense beaver damn. It keeps about 120 ft of water around 3 feet higher than normal. Very cool. Definitely the most engineering savy beavers I have met in my day.
Chris here gave us a ride into Bennington and was a little camera shy. Very nice guy.
I hunted down a lot of the moose in Bennington and there were definitely more.
A whole flock of Moosen!
One of my favorites.
Horrible rain, but we went inside while it stormed.
This guy gets a rain jacket because he has a hollow stomach and sometimes has stomach issues with the rain.
Pony express got a hotel room and said we could stay with her!!!! Shower time!!!!
Another favorite.
Goodbye Pony Express. She is recovering from lymes disease and is skipping some of the trail which is allowed because she is sectioning. I hope you recover fully soon!

Bath time for the FNS
capillers!
Awesome cloud
Kid Gore shelter. No bugs awesome views and stellar stars!
Fern Gully!
This is a fire tower on top of Stratton Mountain. We were stuck up here where the storm of our lives hit. We set up our tent inside of it and rode it out. It was thrilling, scary and fun!
Our tent didnt really fit but we made do. Lumpy was up here with us but i failed to take a picture of him. He told us some tales of his days climbing the tallest towers in the world to replace the lightbulbs on top. His best was the top of the Twin Towers before they fell.
I speared you and you are dead!
Aslan on his rock!
More evidence of Fern Gully.
Tony was a really cool cat. Gave us a ride into Manchester and told us about the local roofing business.
