Topographic map of the Salem-Deir El Hattab area. Legends in Hebrew. The two villages are visible somewhat to the left of the map's center. Elon More illegal settlement (not an 'outpost', it's been there since late '70s) is near northern edge. The light-green blob near the eastern edge is a settlers' outpost. Pink areas are private Palestinian lands.
Due to blockades and closures on main roads, local traffic is sometimes restricted to dirt roads. During the rainy 2002-2003 winter these turned into mud.
