There were helping hands for everyone who were willing to put a step forward
Braving the slippery stream to collect the garbage
There were bottles of all kind in every possible corners
Ready for action
Waiting for their turn to cross a boulder
Team of Grid 13
Can we preserve this?....
With all these filth beside....?
All sorts of plastics were prevalent and choking the flow
Some one even tried "shampoo bath by the stream"
"Nutrient Cycling" of forest stream ecosystem might get affected due to this alarming level of plastics.
Bottle stream!!!
Who cares?
Micro level cleaning of the plastic garbage
Huge number of plastic bottles removed from the stream
Braving the danger of broken glass pieces settled in stream bed thrown by irresponsible visitors
At times two hands were insufficient to pull out the garbage from nooks and corners
Our CTC warriors Never left the spaces between boulders and dark crevices
They crisscrossed the stream despite the huge boulders and filled the garbage bags in hundreds and.....
did it with a smile :)
They extended their helping hands for a common noble cause.
Never missed to appreciate the beauty in between
Like him, me too wondered how any one can litter such a beautiful place!!!
Forest dept. official going up to meet Peter
In many places it was hard to locate and pull out the plastic garbage
It was assuring to see the young participants in "Save Tada" mission
Broken glasses were collected in thicker sack
It was a dedicated and delicate cleaning operation
Clearing up the choke in the stream
Meticulous mending operation ....
...was in progress when the noises of glass pieces caught my attention amidst gigantic boulders.
Filled garbage bags are getting ready for down stream travel
CTC warriors were not just here and there... everywhere... to bust out the garbage
They were undeterred by slippery rock faces near the streams for collection of garbage
This mini valley was getting back its original shine as these garbage bags swelled in size and numbers
Filled bags were shifted further down stream
Sorry state of the stream near the temple. These are "bottle necks" for forest stream ecosystem
Two different groups on both side of the stream. I'm proud to be in this side
It takes time for many to realise the damage done to our mother nature. But it may be too late when they do so.
Busting the garbage around the boulders
Water in the bottle or bottle in the water both are hazardous to mother nature here
Amount of garbage needs many haul like this
Trouble seems to be knee deep.Lets not loose the leg soon.
Main falls then called me for a holy dip.
...along with fellow CTC'ns
It was like a pool of emerald
Had a swim across till the other small falls and it was energising
It was fun
Water was so cold, it shook off my tiredness :)
After the swim, had yummy veg. pulauv and Tamarind rice sitting beside
On the way back... the wild, the warriors and the warning board caught my attention.
Lunch break
Fresh and fair after a dip in the Tada falls
Surely they set an example with CTC flag
Getting ready to descend down after the dip
Just look at them so cheering after the sternness garbage busting... I never asked them to say "cheeeesssee" :)
I feel they are asking me "what next?"
Warning from the wild....
Sense of satisfaction after after clearing the plastics
Hopes
Pondering the future
It is so clean again
Lets make an enjoyable Tada visit to everyone

Moment to realise the trouble, how deep we are in and the red alert

Exchange of dialogue-1
Exchange of dialogue-2
The two most important ecosystem processes in streams are the cycling of nutrients and the flow of energy among organisms.Inorganic matter obstruct these process by then disturb the food webs.
Woody debris serves an important role in these processes. It modifies geomorphic processes, and provides habitat for invertebrates and fish. If the surface is full of plastic they disturb this system
This humble beginning is an example that together we can make a change if we wish.
