Hello Les
Photo's from the Scale Masters Championships where the
British Columbia Scale Classic's donation to the event was recognized by a
sign at the entrance where everyone drove in and the "Best Markings" trophy.
The event was well run and the club members were great hosts.
Unfortunately I did not fly, just too far to drive the cub down however I
was put to work spotting for a couple of flyers. Darn Hot and Humid down
there.
Plans are underway for the 2009 British Columbia Scale Classic.
Les, as you see fit, please share with the Vernon club.
The winner was Tom Smith, plane is a 1/5th scale Sky Raider. I
believe he finished second in Expert. Tom was very honoured and said to say
hello to everyone and a big thank you. I saw him at a Monster Bird Fly In
and he flew the plane a lot.
Some of you may know Dave Collis from Maple Ridge, he flew his 1/2
Scale Space Walker at the "Monster Bird Fly-In". He won the Technical
Achievement award.
