Same day. They would stay at a camping place owned by the Booth family at Fish Haven.
Norma's family plus the Winegar family, house shown to the right, taken in front of the Woods Cross house. Nancy was a problem, though she was occasionally harnessed to a cart to pull family on wild rides. Norma would dash to the house door with Nancy in full charge, usually barely making it inside the door as Nancy butted the screen with a bang. Nancy was returned to the Winegars after she got into the Hatch basement through a coal chute, and ruined a 100 pound sack of sugar by eating some and, in Norma's words, "slobbering all over the rest so we had to throw it away."

Norma as a teenager in the 1930's. This would be in either Spanish Fork or Provo. Norma comments that these look like the shoes that ruined her feet walking to BYU!

Woods Cross orchard, about 1921, with Norma, Ephraim, Gwendolyn, Noal, and chicken friends.
Gwendolyn hired a woman to make this dress for Norma, which excited Norma very much. However, when picture-taking time arrived she was not happy about holding a silly parasol.

On January 11, 2006, Norma, Jay, and Naoma visited the house at Woods Cross. Some remodeling and updating has been done and this solidly-built house is going into its second century of serving growing families. Thank you Russ!
