European University Hunger Summit

UFWH: New Directions for Students around the Globe April 23 marked the beginning of the 1st Annual European University Hunger Summit. Students from U.S. study abroad programs and several European universities were in attendance.

Hunger March 2008

Auburn students marched 60 miles from Auburn University to the steps of the state capitol in Montgomery. The 3-day trek was meant to raise awareness about hunger and hunger-related issues, as well as raise money for the World Food Programme. Each student was sponsored per mile and raised around $4,000

Hunger Awareness Week 2008

October 13-17 marked our 2nd Annual Hunger Awareness Week. Each day during the week we had different concourse activities aimed at raising awareness as well as loose change for the World Food Programme. We were able to raise more than $2,000 in change!

2008 Field Presentation

This year the Committee of 19 was presented on the football field during the Tenneessee game. We also presented an $11,000 check to the World Food Programme, making our total donations $30,000!

Stop Hunger Now

To kick off our 1st Annual Hunger Awareness Week we hosted a food packaging event in which more than 600 students and community volunteers came together and packaged over 100,000 meals for school children in Haiti.
