day 4 math/science camp

On Thursday the kids learned about Albrecht Durer's Magic Square and Esther won the Magic Square challenge!! Memory skills and fingerprinting was part of the UCS Detective Agency. Debbie had a large yummy spread for snack and then the kids got into teams to make M & M bar graphs. Their results ended in a pie chart and then Donna, Kim & Stasia had a great chemical reaction to show.

day 5 math/science camp

Debbie taught the kids about angles. Donna had the kids blowing bubbles. Anastasia brought out the creativity in the kids and then everyone planted a seed!! Hoping everyone had a great math/science week!! Special thanks to Debbie who had great daily devotions, interesting math facts and really fun & interesting math time!! Thanks to Kim for egg drop day & Stasia for the creature creativity and both for helping out Donna with her great science fun. Thanks to Lindsey who kept up on daily math flash cards and help with grading.

Day 1 Math/Science camp

Devotions, the story of a Math Curse and understanding Base 10 by Debbie, noise making with a bottle cap and piece of cardboard with Donna and the EGG DROP with Kim. Each pair of students had to design something using limited supplies that would help the raw egg not to break after Kim, who is standing on a table, dropped it!!

Multiplication in Japan, Starburst hands on math fun, separating food dye, making a magnify object and learning the Pythagorean Theory!!!! It was also wear a number on your shirt day.
