My sister Bethany and I had the pleasure of going to Peru for two weeks. The first week we stayed with our friend Nego's family in Trujillo, Peru (the city I stayed in for a few months in 1999). The second week we went into the Andes mountains to the city of Cajamarca for the wedding of our dear friend Nikki.

Mexico Trip
I had the distinct treat of being able to bring my mom and three siblings along with me on my church's mission trip to Mexico over spring break. Our small group of fourteen people built an administration building for an underfunded public school in a very poor district on the outskirts of Tijuana.

Snow Days!
Tracy and I hiked up Powell Butte on Thursday, built a ramp and went sledding! It was such a fun and beautiful time. I also included a few pictures of my house in the snow...my christmas tree, my parents' house in the snow, etc. :-)

Every year for Trish's birthday we all go to an apple orchard / pumpkin farm in Hood River. On the way home some of us stopped in the foothills of Mt. Hood for some target practice.

Some Medina Photos -- Sorry that they're sort of grainy guys, that goes with the high ISO I had used because of the dark cloudy sky. I edited these in Picasa and for some reason when I uploaded them some of them tinted very pinkish. I'll try and fix them some other time, but I don't have time tonight.

I got my first opportunity to do a photo shoot with a baby! Thanks Kyla for letting your little Terran pose for me. It was fun...I used my 50mm f/1.8 on most of the pictures and I'm happy with the results.

I couldn't believe it snowed on Christmas this year! The indoor shots were quite grainy, so I did some post-production editing that removed some of the detail along with the noise. Oh well...

Thanksgiving Celebrations
'Twas the night before Thanksgiving and I hung out at my parents house for a while before heading over to Nikki's to eat delicious homemade Thai food! Five ladies spent the night at my place that night and then we went to our respective Thanksgiving celebrations the next day: they went to the Hansens' and I went to the Smiths'. Thanksgiving is the BEST!

Hebo Drive
Cool things I saw on my beach-errand trip. I tried to make it up Mt. Hebo, but my car was sliding in the snow, so instead I took a few random logging roads lower down on the mountain. I had to back out of one road after encountering an icy puddle/pond. There were all sorts of interesting things there!

November Family Night
More of a "look at my new lens" album then a true representation of Family night. Most the family wasn't there very long anyway... A lot of shots are taken from the table surface since I didn't have a tripod and I was using long shutter speeds so I didn't have to crank up the ISO. Still...I'm enjoying the new lens. :-)
