Dec 18: Shapes going up on the North bouldering wall
Dec 11: The crew from Eldorado Climbing Walls is now at work. These are a few of the many "shapes" they are welding together. these get assembled into the steel superstructure for the climbing terrain.
Dec 11: With the plumbing roughed in, new concrete has been poured to fill in the trenches and restore the floor.
Dec 11: This is one of the 18 spots where a core sample was drilled to test the fitness of the existing concrete slab floor. One small void was detected, and filled in by the landlord. Each core sample was 6" in diameter; the slab ranges from 6" to 8" in thickness, which is sufficient to bear the loads placed on it by the climbing walls and other new structures we're building. I'm keeping many of the cylinders drilled out for the core samples as souvenirs. Ideas welcome as to what to use them for!
Dec 11: The Eldorado crew has painted outlines on the floor marking where the tops and bottoms of each section of climbing wall will be located. Hmm, I wonder what "TITE" could refer to here?
