A lovely monument in the centre of the town
Heading up to the church and palace
Inside St. Michael's church....just gorgeous!
The church commemorated 750 years with this stained glass signifying the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost
Someone who wanted to have another stained glass put in the church was told that the church didn't want those windows to be stained glass....so she settled for second best....putting in this asile rug
I love the wood pulpit!
Where the stained glass used to be on the palace where Mary, queen of Scots, was born
The queen entering her palace
A monument in the centre of the palace
Each corner of the courtyard had a spiral staircase which led to all kinds of neat rooms....oh to be a kid in that palace!
It was a gorgeous fall day to visit!
If you look close you can slightly see the double rainbow that ended our day!
