June 2007 - VFW Flag Retirement Ceremony
Please note this was a Flag Retirement Ceremony in which worn, tattered and unwanted flags were collected from the local community prior to the ceremony. There is no official disposal method for U.S. flags, but a brief solomn ceremony was held and the flags were disposed of by burning, within the guidelines of the U.S. Flag Code and in conjunction with the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
