primitive textiles and wood sclpture 新宿にあるクリスタルスポットでは何度も「Tribal Gathring」 というテーマで先住民や少数部族の手仕事を紹介してきました。
dogon on thr belbel blankt これも「Tribal Gathring」のひとつです。 バックにあるのはチュニジア側に生活するベルベル族の 「バフタル」と呼ばれる婚礼用のヴェールで羊毛に白い木綿の糸で美しい 幾何学的なベルベルらしい文様が織り込まれています。 上に掛かるのはマリ共和国の東部で暮らす伝説のドゴン族の 儀礼用の仮面です。
tribal gatharing 左右に掛けられた細長いアンティークキリムはアフガニスタンの タイマ二系のソフレ(左)&シャーセバン族のsirakiと呼ばれる細長い縫い取り織りの毛織物。 中央にあるのはパプアニューギニアの木彫です。
