Austria Ski Reunion 2008

Reunion ski tour in Austria! Spring skiing in the Sportwelt Amade' (you didn't know Amadeus Mozart was a winter sports enthusiast, did you?). I was stationed in Germany 1998 - 2006 and made some great friends through ski trips. And now I'm meeting more new friends! After a 12 year hiatus I may have to make this an annual March pilgrimage.

Autumn Colors in southern New Mexico - Oct 2007

The autumn colors of southern New Mexico (Sacramento Mountains) are not as striking as New England, but they are still a pleasure to behold. Hikes are made more enjoyable starting in mid-September for several weeks. After all the leaves fall from the Aspens, the forest looks bare...waiting for a blanket of snow to add its cold beauty.

I served at US Embassy, Tashkent, Uzbekistan for 25 months from spring 2002 to summer 2004. What a unique opportunity to see different cultures, peoples...and get exposed to a terrible police state. We are very, very lucky in the US.
