View from the inn at Valle de Abdalajís where the adventure began.
Another view from the inn.
Note the steepness of the walk and the absence of a trail. It was like this for nearly the whole way.
A fossilized nautilis shell embedded in one of the rocks. Very cool.
Here comes the fog!
Un caracol montañero (mountain snail).
Heading back down.
This was one of the more difficult parts of the walk....we struck out across this rocky area, scrambling up and down. The rocks were slippery with rain by this time, so we really didn't want to rush.
I have no idea how old this house was, but it's seen better days.
The very steep road heading back down to the pueblo.
The very compact cementary of Valle de Abdajalís.
Enjoying a Mediterranean-style brown-bag dinner after the hike. These people know how to eat.
As we were driving back, the clouds briefly cleared from Pico La Capilla, and we could see what we'd climbed.
The castle in the pueblo of Antequera. The mountain to the right is called El Indio, for obvious reasons.
