Step 1: Here's most of what you'll need. A bible, paper (which ever you choose), pencil, straightedge, a regular glue stick, and a "restickable" glue stick. You'll also need a utility knife.
Step 2: Start by penciling in a line on one side of every piece of paper the exact same distance from the edge and perfectly parallel to the edge. I simply used the width of my straight edge so all were exactly the same.
Step 3: Place your straightedge on the line and carefully fold over the small flap and crease it down nice and tight. This will be the hinge your pages turn on. Do this to all your pages.
Step 4: Here you can see all 5 of my pages with their folded flaps. They will all fit together like this...one interleaved with the next. I have them lying in an expanded view so you can see what is going on.
Step 5: Make sure each flap is folded reeeeeally nice and tight. This will help prevent a huge lump in your bible. I tightened mine up by running my pencil along the edges. Basic stuff.
Step 6: Now you will need to glue each flap with the regular glue stick in order to stick to the next. DO NOT GLUE THE END FLAP. This flap get the "restickable" glue stick. This flap is the one that will attach to the bible itself. After they are glued, assemble them together and press them together to get a good bond.
Step 7: Determine where you want your pages to be. I chose to put mine just after the maps in the back. Insert the glued pages as tight as you can and close the bible.
Step 8: Trace around the text block carefully. This is where you will be cutting.
Step 9: Cut it out. Stay as close to the line as possible. If you have rounded corners, round them as well.
Step 10: Here are the note pages all cut out. Almost done.
Step 11: Using your "restickable" glue stick, you can now glue the outer flap. The nice thing about this type of glue is that it behaves just like a post it note. You can remove whatever you glued with no damage to the surface whatsoever. I usually glue my bible reading plan to the inside flap using this stuff.
Step 12: Stick'r in. You're done...write away. When she fills up, just take'r out and make a new one. Bingo, bango, boingo. :D If you're really a stickler for details, you can get a gold marker and gently edge the pages gold to match the others.
