My first room was a suite! They got steadily worse after that. The Beauty Brains expense monitors are tough.
Statue outside Buckingham Palace
The gates of the Palace. The gold paint is incredible (I think it's paint). However, I wonder where all those cute red-suited solders were.
Parliament & Big Ben. Just like in the movies
Yeah, that's a double decker bus in London. The cars & buses looked so small & cute
William Shakespeare theater. Not the original but fun
The Eurostar train station and one of my traveling companions (the book not the guy)
My first look at Paris. None of the signs were in English
An old church in the middle of the street. There are lots of these in Paris
Statue in the square along Rue de Temple Never got to find out what it was :(
Outside the Pompadeaux Center.
The view from my hotel window. The streets of Paris are so quaint. I love 'em
Gigantic lips water fountain near the Pompadeaux center. Modeled after Angelina?
An old church (lot's of these in Paris). See the tiny copy of The Beauty Brains book on the steps?
This is where the mayor of Paris is supposed to live. It's amazing.
Notre Dame. It's surreal.
Inside Notre Dame. If you like churches, you'll be amazed.
Beauty Brains on the River Seine
My first view of the Eiffel Tower
There are cute cafes all over Paris. Here's one where I had my first glass of wine.
Whatever happened to Napoleon? He ended up in this tomb.
The Louvre is huge! I couldn't get it all in one picture
More of the Louvre
There she is...Paris!
What's that at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower?
Now how did that Beauty Brains book get there?
One side of the Louvre
So many statues but this one with the bronze head and the marble body made me laugh.
Finding beauty in the Louvre. This is what people used to use to comb their hair.
All the signs were in French. This is the date on the ancient combs. Looks like 4th-5th century BC.
Ping pong paddles? No. Mirrors used by the ancients.
They even used rollers a couple of thousand years ago.
The combs got a bit better by the 1st century BC.
The most famous statue in the world - Venus. I'm not sure why she's so famous. Other statues were just as impressive
A statue from ancient Greek times.
The most famous painting in the world. Notice all the security.
Arc de Triomphe. It's beautiful
Not quite as beautiful as this giant Louis Vuitton store.
This was a weird advertisement for some kind of orange drink. A buff bear with a fig leaf licking his nose & winking? Love to meet the advertising geniuses behind that one.
Another arch. You find these all over Paris
