Looking south at the Yucaipa Ridge from Vivian Creek Trail
Looking south from Vivian Creek Trail with Mt. San Jacinto in the distance on the left
Near the summit of San Gorgonio Mountain
The Tarn (near left).
Summit of San Gorgonio Mountain, highest point in So. Calif. (11,499'). Mt. San Jacinto (10,834') is in the background, behind the flag.
My entry in the San Gorgonio peak register. My hands were so cold and swollen (a common occurrence while hiking) that I could barely write.
Looking west from San Gorgonio Peak. Mt. Baldy is in the far distance beyond the cloud-covered San Bernardino Valley. From here, I went west and over all the peaks in the center of the photo.
Looking toward Shields, Anderson and San Bernardino East Peaks. Looks like a nice place to visit. Let's go!
One of the last remnants of winter on the trail east of San Bernardino East Peak
Big Bear Lake from east of San Bernardino East Peak
Sugarloaf Mountain from east of San Bernardino East Peak
A tree that's more like a totem. I suspect the bark damage is from snow and wind in winter.
Repeat visit (I was here one week ago, with different shoes). One of the best views anywhere is from here.
On the way down from San Bernardino Peak, looking west toward Mt. Baldy over the San Bernardino Valley.
Nearing the end of the trail in Angeles Oaks. What a beautiful way to end a perfect day!
