"embeddedbitmap" seem not working in KDE 4.x
You have to do some "fontconfig" things to disable antialias for some fonts with embedded-bitmap.
you must do some patches to support fake-bold-face fonts(This is vary important for CJK users)
qt4 in openSUSE seems not support subpixel-hinting, you have to rebuild freetype2 with subpixel-hinting enable, then rebuild libqt4.This may take hours.
