Stockholm Excursion

Matt and I finally got out of Karlskrona for a little bit and traveled up to Stockholm for the weekend. In the city, we walked through both the old and new parts of town and checked out a few museums. The one museum was all about an old Viking Ship called Vasa that had been recovered from the ocean floor. The ship was massive and pictures hardly do it justice.

Safari Party at Club Zebra

Our apartment kicked off the series of parties for the upcoming year with a Safari-themed costume party! (in honor of all of the Club Zebra party gear that we found in the apartment on the first day) We were blown away with the effort that so many people put into some of their costumes (considering none of us brought any costume-like items with us to Sweden). I'd have to say the party was a huge success! Also, some of these pictures were taken by others at the party, I'd can't claim credit for all of them.

Car Cemetery and Wanas Foundation

This was the third day of our weekend retreat. The two places shown in this album are the: - Car Cemetery, a forest of scrapped cars from a few decades ago showing what happens when human activity ceases and nature overtakes. - Wanas Foundation, a beautiful outdoor art studio amidst a large forest, lake, and old castle

Sailing on the Baltic

A bunch of us from the program took a few boats out on the baltic for a day. We also visited an island called Aspo off the coast of Sweden and explored an old naval fortress there.
