14.4 lbs unstuffed turkey in some apple juice and ready to be cooked.
Some soaked apple wood chips. Have been soaked in water overnight.
The smoker box where i will add the wood chips then this will go on top of the charcoal.
Bottom of the smoker.
This is the water pan that is inside the smoker. Filled with water to keep temp low & steady.
This is a Temp monitor. This is the transmitter and has 2 wires going into smoker. One to monitor smoker temp and other to monitor food temp.
My 2009 Weber Smokey Mountain :)
This is the wireless receiver unit inside the house. It is showing me the smoker temp at 262F and that the turkey meat temp is at 170F. You can take it anywhere in the house and it will still work. It will also beep if temp goes out of set range. This is so cool :) Time to pull turkey off the smoker.
After about 6 hrs, it is done.
Flipped it and left it in for another 15 mins.
Some corn on my Weber performer.
A lobster, some scallops, shrimp, Tuna steaks.
Corn is done. It smells great :)
Tuna Steak, Shrimp, Scallops and Oysters on the Weber Performer. The Beausoleil oysters are really good but they taste better raw, I think. They have a nice taste to them.
Some lobster being grilled. This one is a female and you can see the red eggs in there.
Grilled seafood platter.
This is the turkey.
Dinner is served :)
It has been a long day. These guys did a great job. Cleaned and covered and ready to get some rest :)
