After turning onto the North Buller Pass trail we left the trees.
A cool pinnacle on the ridge with a hole.
A little waterfall in the valley.
Ben follows Heather towards the col.
Once at the col, we turned left and gained a little more altitude. The traverse from here was pure awfulness as the scree was optimally bad.
Heather has no idea of the crappy traverse that will soon follow.
Once past the crappy scree traverse, we hit the Red Peak ridge and things are much better going, despite cloudy conditions and rain.
Heather is just glad to be off the traverse.
Heather is back on the ridge about halfway up, waiting for Ben, somewhere in the clouds above.
Some early season cornice developing.
Ben arriving at the summit!
Heather trying to get a view.
Ben heading back down under clearing conditions.
Whoa! Color!
A nice view towards Guinn Pass, with Ribbon Lake on the left.
Crap, here comes the cloud again.
Looking back down North Buller valley towards the highway.
The beginning of a desert right here in North Buller valley.
