From the pass, you look over the other side and can see crooked, rocky finger of The Grand Sentinel seemingly teetering on the slope.

To get a feel for how big The Grand Sentinel is, look for the climbers on the rock to the left of the black dots,
The route begins in the lower left of the pinnacle and slowly traverses over to the base of the large corner in it's center about 3/4 of the way up. From the top of the corner, the original route moves left up a chimney to the left ridge and then follows that up to the summit.
